The Pink Cottage Day Nursery are seeking to employ a Lead Early Years Practitioner. 

Minimum Level 6 Childcare Qualification essential. 

Full time position (40 hours per week). 

You will be working as part of a team responsible for delivering and maintaining consistently high standards of care and education for children between the ages of 0-5 years. 

You will be the lead senior member of staff working within the pre-school and will have overall responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of this area of the nursery and the staff team caring for those children. You will ensure all practitioners are working in accordance with the principles and requirements of the EYFS and you will have your own key group of children. You will be required to take a lead role in the planning, organisation and implementation of high quality, personalised learning experiences to help children achieve their full potential in line with the EYFS.

You will deputise in the absence of the Deputy Manager and will be a key holder for the nursery, responsible for opening and closing the nursery. You will work closely with all senior members of the early years team to ensure all aspects of the nursery day run smoothly and all necessary tasks are completed.

You will have the ability to motivate and inspire a team and lead by example and will be confident in your professional approach and the decisions you make. Being adaptable to the changing nature of an early years environment and having excellent communication and organisational skills is also very important.
