Our client is an established, extremely successful engineering company based in the Fareham area who currently have a requirement for an experienced Project Manager for a hands on role managing nuclear projects from final bid phase through to completion. The salary is circa 45'000 to 50'000 per annum plus bonus scheme, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), flexible working hours, childcare vouchers, pension scheme, excellent progression opportunities, discount vouchers, free gym membership, and free parking.

The Role

Manage a small project team to ensure objectives are met Develop project plans, monitor and ensure deadlines are achieved, keeping in touch with customers and internal departments including board of directors Support sales and engineering bid activity Define and drive appropriate actions according to project plan Establish and control project costs and agreed budgets Detailed risk analysis, manage and eliminate risks, maintaining project risk register Manage document submission Analyse products to ensure design and performance specifications are met Prepare and control project costs to meet profit targets and agreed budgets Provide technical support to sales teams and customer Liaise with sales, manufacturing, quality, estimators, sub-contractors and purchasing to ensure projects are completed on time

Requirements

Experience as a Project Manager in a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering environment Must be able to work with and oversee different disciplines to ensure their part of the project is completed to quality and on time Experience managing projects abroad Some knowledge or experience of Nuclear Industry Knowledge of pressure vessel fabrication Qualification in a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering discipline (not essential if experience is strong) Excellent communication and negation skills with strong organisational abilities
