The South Downs National Park Authority is a new organisation created to care for the landscapes, wildlife and heritage of an area which stretches from Winchester to Eastbourne and in which over 110,000 people live and work.
As Assistant Enforcement Officer you will investigate complaints about buildings and uses of land which may have needed planning permission. You will work under the supervision of the SDNPA Enforcement Officer and develop a caseload of investigations commensurate with your experience. The work requires an inquiring mind, an aptitude for research and attention to detail, and good interpersonal skills and you will have some previous investigative experience.

Salary: Starting salary of £17,675 - £19,190 (within a range of £17,675 - £22,220) - please note appointments above the starting salary band will only be made in exceptional circumstances)
Hours: 37 hours per week
