The South Downs National Park Authority is the newest and eighth largest planning authorities in one of the most beautiful areas of southern England. We deliver our development management service through a unique partnership with 10 other local authorities in the National Park and directly deliver the development management service for a further five. Our in-house team deals with the most significant of the 4,000+ applications we receive each year which include large commercial and residential developments as well as more unusual proposals including a new rhino house at Marwell Zoo.

As Development Management Lead you will manage two case officers in the in-house team and take on a small case load of the most significant applications yourself. You will work with the Development Manager to develop best practice in the way we work both in our in-house team and our partner authorities.
