A Transport Planner is required to join the transport team within Churchill Freight Services Ltd. The Transport Planner will oversee daily logistical operations of the Pallex pallet network, running efficient and profitable operations whilst maintaining the highest levels of customer service. Main duties will involve planning delivery routes, liaising continuously with customers and drivers, acting as the first point of contact and resolving issues as they arise. The Transport Planner will carry out accurate administration and data input related to the transport of Pallex goods, assist the transport Manager in the upkeep of vehicles, adhere to Health and Safety policy, Road Transport Regulations and Pallex network requirements. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a traffic planning role within the haulage industry or similar logistics environment. Working knowledge of Excel/data input systems, ideally relating to goods consignments, excellent telephone manner and communication skills, be a team player, able to problem solve, prioritise and manage a complex workload and hold a full, current UK Drivers License.
