Assistant Demand Forecaster

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Demand Forecaster to join our Supply Chain Team on a 6 month fixed term basis with the potential to extend. This role will assist our Demand Forecaster in ensuring accurate short and long term sales forecasts are in place and maintained correctly. You will also ensure promotional uplifts/launch volumes are realistic and input on various systems correctly, liaising with our customers where necessary.

Role outline:

To assist in maintaining our Daily Forecast Express system
Attend and assist in Sales and Operational Planning meetings, deputising for Demand Forecaster when necessary
Maintain and help develop appropriate systems to log and analyse retail and foodservice customer sales
To liaise with Operations Management, Account Managers and Demand Planners to ensure optimum use of factory resources
To assist in preparation for and attendance of planning meetings
Undertake a variety of daily tasks, as required, some regular, some adhoc
Skills and Experience:

Experience in prioritisation
Knowledge of MRP systems desired, but not essential
Commercial experience useful
Good Excel skills
Excellent communication skills
