We are looking to recruit a Cheesemaker to work within the Home Farm team. This position is responsible for the cheesemaking facility and which includes the management, growth and development of all products that are made at the dairy.

Core activities include making Goodwood cheeses to the highest quality and ensuring sufficient stock to meet sales requirements; supporting the drive of cheese sales to agreed targets – attend customer presentations; and maintaining the dairy to microbiological standards.

The successful candidate will have proven relevant experience of working within or running a dairy facility and managing a food production unit or processing line. You will be certified in HACCP to at least level 2, be numerate and have a passion for all cheese based food production. Knowledge of New Product Development and computer literacy are desirable.

You will have strong communications skills with the ability to contribute to a team as well as work on your own. You will be flexible and adaptable in your approach to the role and have good organisational and time management skills. You will be able to follow recipes and have a proactive approach to product and process improvement.
