The colorectal unit at Portsmouth Hospitals is looking for a fixed term locum consultant to undertake specialist colorectal surgery. The post is available from early October.The successful applicant will join a team of 5 Consultants specialising in a Colorectal surgery with an Academic Surgical Unit linked to the University of Portsmouth. The colorectal unit comprises 5 consultants and is recognised as a Specialist Training Unit (STU-A) and is a national laparoscopic colorectal cancer training centre. The post holder will work with them to develop and expand colorectal services. The appointee will take part in the general surgical emergency rota but will not have responsibility for vascular surgery.Applicants should have their CCST or equivalent.
