Job Description and Responsibilities
The right candidate will maximise advertising sales on boatsandoutboards.co.uk, the UK's busiest marine website, dedicated to buying and selling boats. You'll be working as an integral part of the team to achieve this. You will be expected to help us grow boatsandoutboards.co.uk into new areas and will be rewarded well, through a good basic salary and commission.
To perform in this role you will be required to make a high number of phone calls, be punctual, dedicated and have a good work ethic. You will be expected to function within the established systems, Investigating your own leads you will phone to collate contact details and make cold contact with potential clients. You will also account-manage all of your own clients. You will be expected to discuss marine advertising with these prospects, and to forge strong relationships with clients.
Training will be offered.
You will directly report to the Sales Manager, working closely with the rest of the team.
Personal skills requirements
The right candidate will be very tenacious, hard-working, highly organised and self-efficient. Your energy and drive will need to be high in order to keep phoning prospects and clients all day and to motivate yourself to achieve well rewarded individual and sales team targets. Cold-calling and dealing with objections is the order of every day.
You will need to be an affable, enthusiastic person. You will also need to sound credible on the phone – positive, clear and able to listen.
At least 1 years previous tele-sales experience is crucial. Marine knowledge would be advantageous, and online or media sales would also be desirable but not essential.
