We are seeking a full-time Senior Lecturer to join the Department for Childhood, Social Work and Social Care.  The role holder will make a full and active contribution to the Early Childhood programmes through a range of activities which promote high standards of teaching and learning. In addition, the ability to teach across the professional disciplines and programmes in the Department will be a requirement of the post.  
The person appointed will have a good relevant undergraduate and/or a Masters level qualifications. They may also have the Early Years Teacher Status/Qualified Teacher Status and a PG Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education. The successful applicant will have knowledge of current initiatives impacting on the subject area alongside evidence of high quality, effective and imaginative approaches to teaching and learning.
An active commitment to research, scholarship and income generation activity is expected and strong communication and administration skills are essential.  The ability to work well with colleagues across the Department is important and the role requires an active commitment to partnership, collaborative and inter-agency working.
